That has to be the funniest question I have seen all day, and I think you asked it in all seriousness. Sure, if there are conscientious people like you asking the right questions during the deliberation.

Yes... absolutely. But, I think you're talking about a review board of sorts - a jury with the power of censorship - and I would be very happy to see that here on Y/A. However, if you're talking about a legal jury.... one that would decide my future freedom, well, I guess I'd have to know that I was innocent of a crime before I could feel secure. What did I do?

On Y/A censorship:

I've had deleted questions and answers that were, in all truthfulness, not at all outside the community guidelines, (and I admit that I've written some of the other kind, too, of course.) Yet, attempting to have the decision reversed or an opinion heard by the Y/A moderators is a nearly a complete waste of time... it's almost as useless as trying to get a response from our non-existing 'god,' isn't it....?! I'd be happier with a jury of Y/A uesrs, peers, in that case.

I am a lawyer and I I have to say that Juries are easily mislead and often come to the wrong conclusion. I would not like to have a jury decide anything that had to do with me.

Now that would scare me *wink*.

You know I've been on a couple of juries. You know what really impressed me? How really seriously everyone took the job they had, about listening to evidence and finding a just verdict.

I was impressed enough by your question to pull your profile before I answered, and just as I thought, a thinking person. In my short time on here, I would rather take my chances with 12 teens who had been smoking something funny and did not like my dog. In short, please...NOOOOOOO!

As safe as any other cross section of the community. I would use the Flying Spaghetti Monster defence, as apparently you cannot have a successful argument against it.

Depends on the nature of the case and the facts. What would be the advantage?

Yikes! It's such a mixed bag. If I picked them from my contacts list? Yes I would.
