Is this true? It's okay to do bodywieght exercises if you have like a cold or any minor sickness but don't workout if you have the flu or anything major.

The common wisdom is that as long as the symptoms are from the neck up, you can exercise. So if you're having breathing problems, coughing, etc. you should not be exercising. If it's just a runny nose, go for it.

I'd reccomend not exercising period no matter what sickness, but usually with a cold it won't make much of a difference. Just keep active and don't push yourself because your body does need rest, but if you do nothing at all, there is not as much blood circulating through the body which will help clean out any foriegn bacteria/viruses/germs/etc

I would say it would be okay.. if you feel worse of course you should stop.. but I wouldn't go intense workout. or you could always wait until your sickness passes.

Yes, it's ok to as long as you are not congested from the chest up.
