I've noticed as I was answering some peoples questions that their are a few Christians who show the least compassion while answering the question, they say things such as your going to hell with no second thought or when I was just answering 1 question where a girl was asking where it says that being gay is wrong in the bible is wrong. And 1 girl answered and said I don't know where it says it at but I know it that it does and your grandpa need to stop going uphill. We as Christians need to show more compassion, less judgment on echother, Amen! {love 1 another, God said}

That is also what I asked last night but I find that many christians (and I am one) are just standing on their status like a proud rooster on it's post judging everyone and everything. If there is one thing as christians we are tought by Jesus:
Ye shall not judge less ye be judge. So those people are bringing judgement upon them... By God.

I told a sister once, why do you judge? she didn't know what to say after telling someone they were going to hell. I told her simply, "before you met Jesus you were going to hell too, so how do you know God won't do something in that person's life as He did in yours? and that attitude of yours surely wont invite that person's heart to come to you for advise on God!!!"

That behaviour is what makes christians lose all trust from people in the world....

Our love and compassion is what is SUPPOSE to identify us as children of God and makes us lights that might attract (through the Holy Spirit) people who seek the truth, answers... and salvation.

We're not here to impose or condemn, we are here to let people know about Jesus and what He has done and then they can chose freely, but it is still their choice. And we must respect the people as we want the people to respect us. Not evil doing, not sin, the people.
Love the people, hate the sin. IT IS A DIFFERENT ISSUE!

yes, I agree, but as earlier mentioned, our God is a consuming fire. He cannot stand iniquity.
We CANNOT be coaxing people down the path that leads to destruction.
I guess the only thing that we can do is pray for discernment, because the Holy Spirit knows where each and every person needs help. We should not judge others, lest we ourselves be judged. We should be loving, but also realize that we are in a battle for the souls of men, and it is ironic that they themselves do not realize how much peril and great danger that they are in.
That's where we come in. Via fervent prayer and listening to the voice of the lord, I believe that we can capture the media for the Lord, after all, everything is his. The harvest is plenty, but the workers are few.
We need to pray that the Lord will cleanse us of our iniquity and we need to repent for ways that we have come down too hard or not been more stern, because the eternal lives of people are at stake and their blood could be crying out against us.
I believe that it is time to rally the troops. The time is fast spent and the end is approaching. Its time to raise up a call and declare that HIS kingdom and reign will fill the earth. That EVERY knee WILL bow and EVERY tongue WILL confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
So brothers and sisters in the lord, I just want to encourage you to stand fast in your faith, be unwavering, and be wary of the fiery darts of the enemy.

God Bless.
Soli Deo Gloria!

If more Christians were like Jesus I'm convinced they would be treated with respect similar to that given to Buddhists. The hatred and condemnation are far from the what we can learn from the life of Christ. It causes animosity.

I re-read the question that you are referring to. The ugly answer you got was not from a Christian, so please don't paint everyone with the same brush.

People seem to just go ballistic when Christians point out the bible clearly says homosexuality is a sin. And this will continue, I'm sure.

I like your avatar name. That reminds me of James 5 about the prophets' perseverance. Pointing out the meaning of the prophets in relation to the New Testament messsage is interesting, I think.

yes i've noticed this also. some Christians on here are using hate instead of love, and that is against what God said. i've been trying to be kind in every post i make and i think i've been doing a good job at spreading God's Word. it upsets me when some people who call themselves Christians attack athiests for their beliefs..

Bravo, I applaud you! So many Christians completely ignore the teachings of Jesus himself in their rush to judge and condemn others. It is good to see that someone rembembers his one commandment: Love thy neighbour

“If Christians would really live according to the teachings of Christ, as found in the Bible, all of India would be Christian today”
- Mahatma Gandhi -

“I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ”

I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM... THERE ARE SO MANY WHO WANT TO CLAIM THEIR FAITH, YET SEEM QUITE HYPOCRITICAL AT THE SAME TIME.
WE ALWAYS WILL SEE THIS, AS WE TOO ARE SINNERS AND NOT PERFECT IN ANY WAY. I SUPPOSE IT IS NOT PROPER TO PASS JUDGEMENT AS WELL.. THOUGH COULD NOT RESIST SINCE I AGREE ENTIRELY. HAD TO AMEN YOU, BROTHER!

Amen, my brother in Christ... Jesus said; "Love one another as I have loved you" and "If you love, then it will be known that you are my disciples" we should show unconditional love to all people so that they will see we are christians (Christ-followers).
