I always heard hartz products suck and are not healthy for cats, some of the products anyway
There's an adorable stray cat that we've adopted. unfortunately our home cat we've had for few yrs. is too territorial for other animals to bring in.
But want to make this young critter outside as healthy as I can
also are there local places that'll do free rabi shots?
thx

There are many vets and shelters in most states that have free or low cost veterinary services for feral cats. The link below provides many contacts.

I doubt you'll find a place that does free shots but possibly call your vet and tell them your situation and maybe they can cut you a deal like my vet does. As far as de-wormers, a vet has to do that. As far as fleas, go to a store or the vet and ask for Advantage. It is NOT prescription so there should be no trouble. Just make sure if the cat is over or under 9lbs. There's different formulas for that. That would definitely help your cat out. We've done that with an outside one. We also found him a temporary home. Or maybe just try introducing it to your other cat. You never know what could result :)

Good luck!

Yep, Hartz sucks. Anything from a pet store does - many of their flea and worm products are harmful.

Any dewormer you get from a vet will not be harmful. There shouldn't be 'kits', you just need a tablet or an oral paste! Go to a vet.

I doubt you'll find anywhere that does rabies shots for free, just ring around vets and see who does it the cheapest.
