Yes a very depressed person can show real signs of physical pain as well as emotional pain. IF you are experiencing both, or either, you should go see your family doctor or make an appointment at your local mental health center for help. Help will be in the form of counseling and possible medication.

Certainly emotional pain, and psychosomatic pain, with some people. Many others will focus on a long term cause of pain, like a bad back, when better adjusted people, with worse problems, will just shrug it off. See depression treatments/resources at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on page 2.

yes physical pain is common with depression. lots of people go to their doctor complaining of aches and pains, upset stomach, headaches, back pain, lethargy, inability to sleep or concentrate and many more...that's why a lot of people with depression are not treated and get lost. a good doctor can ask the right questions and see if the person is suffering from depression. and a lot of medical deseases cause depression.

Yes it can. First depression hurts you outlook on life and messes with your mental part of the body. And after awhile, the body starts to take the toll from too much stress and lack of energy and lost sleep due to depression. The body than feels the physical affects of depression. There are also a few forms of depression too, each one affecting your body differently and increasingly worse.

Oh yes. It definitely can. I suffer with depression also and I have alot of symptoms sometimes all reacting sometimes some. From depression I have developed IBS which comes and goes. With IBS I have symptoms such as bloating, cramps, diarrhea sometimes constipation, nausea and more. Sure you can get IBS from a trigger food but that is not my case in point, only with stress and depression do i get IBS. Sometimes my body pains also and sometimes I feel like its difficult to move. or get out of bed.
