Well. I always thought that this girl liked me and I was pretty confident about it but when I asked her out she said she doesn't have the time for dating. I accepted it and moved on. Our friendship didn't crumble after she rejected me but it was as strong. She would still say hi and maintain eye contact. Well, today I saw her. She froze up and couldn't finish saying the word "Hi" to me. She then stopped the eye contact and looked down on the floor and we passed by each other. I was not dirty or anything because I was wearing my suit for my interview. What happened? It was just so awkward.

Also, I don't want to ask her what was wrong with her because it would just make things more awkward

first, u dont want to get any wrong ideas, it could b that there was someone with u or next to u, on both those times. then if u cant really think of someone that was there that sh would of liked, take a chance and ask her out maybe just as friends. but then kind of turn it in to a date and b romantic. make a move on her and then c how she reacts.

She is probably uncomfortable. If she really thought you were just friends it may have took her by surprise. If she likes you it again may have took her by surprise and she may regret not saying yes. One way or another you have to ask her. If she just wants you as a friend tell her you thought she liked you and that's why you asked her. Hopefully you can save the friendship.

i been in that situation before, and i know the feeling. there are things in a girl's mind that you just can't fathom. thats why you just have to love them or go crazy with them. all you can do is to wait and be patient. do not change your ways towards her and do not overdo things which might send her a wrong signal. let her compose herself. im sure there's a logical explanation to her behavior. for the meantime, look for other options you have. good luck!

don't acknowledge that you guys had a weird moment, just see if she's back to normal next time. and if she's not, then you have to ask her what's up

well she might haave been thinking of something else akward or strange or important and not had the focus to give you the usual friendly greating. but just ask her casually what's up and that she seemed not herself.
