There are some cool products out there you can use to protect your hair from the sun because the sun can cause damage to your hair just as it can your skin.

There are a few products you can check out, but one really good one you can use is PHYTO PLAGE Protective Sun Veil. It's a light gel that smells nice and protects your hair from sun damage and also salt and chlorine if you go swimming. It also restores shine! Good luck!!

a million) Are you helpful this is a burn and not an allergic reaction? 2) How long have been you out? SPF 50 does not advise you won't be able to burn, purely that it will take you 50x longer to burn than in case you wore no longer something. 3) grow to be it water resistant & sweatproof? Rubproof? If it did no longer survive, it won't be able to artwork. 4) How in many circumstances did you reapply? After approximately 2 hrs, maximum sunscreens actual grow to be inactivated by using the solar. 5) while did you prepare? It takes maximum sunscreens approximately 30 min to have interplay w/your pores and skin and start up protecting you from UV harm. 6) How lots did you prepare? in case you place on an rather skinny layer, you have purely gotten an SPF 10 or 20 quite than the entire protection. because of the fact the remainder of your physique is risk-free, i'm guessing the two you probably did no longer get sufficient on your face or your facial pores and skin is allergic to the product and this is actual a reaction quite than burn. Ditto on the hat factor! next to warding off the solar mid-day, this is the excellent factor to guard your pores and skin. an entire brim hat is greater helpful than a ball cap because of the fact it is going to guard your neck and ears besides. have faith me, you would be soooooo happy your mom nagged you once you're 30 and you have the excellent pores and skin of any of your individuals! LOL!

yeah you can, it wont help your hair, but it will help your scalp. We often forget about it because it is covered by hair, but it is the most sensitive part. You can always wear a hat or scarf on your head. If you want to use spf, use a 30+, remember that the protection is only half of what is says. If its SPF 15...its protecting at 7.5. Just rub it into your scalp. who cares if you look greasy...Youre laying out

Yes the sun can damage your hair but I wouldnt put sunblock on it... I'd say put leave in conditioner in your hair if you're gonna be out in the sun.
And not really sure about heat protection spray. Its usually for thermal use like if you were straightening your curling your hair. It protects it from the thermal heat and saves it from damage, heat, frizz, and split ends. You could try it.

Redken has a shampoo called UV. It protects your hair from the UV damage and elements. They also have the treatments that go with it. You can use them seperately. They have SPF in them already for your hair.

Yes, I recently got my hair done and mentioned to my hairdresser I was going to the beach and she told me I would need to put sunscreen in my hair so it wouldn't fade. She suggested NO-AD, you can get it from Wal-Mart or any drugstore, really. Its made for your skin, but her being a professional hairdresser, I trust its okay to use in your hair. It works really well, its affordable and it goes up to like.. 60 SPF.

Rub a small amount of hair conditioner through your hair (dry hair). That will protect it from a lot of the damage.

I never heard of that but if you use a good conditioner everyday, that should protect your hair from damage and help repair it.
