2008 Ford Escape Federal Tax credit
$3000 for a FWD
$2200 for a 4WD

This is the largest federal tax incentive available for a Hybrid vehicle. The amount of the rebate is determined by how much better the MPG's are vs the same model NON-hybrid..

(In my opinion, the US Federal tax incentives should only be given to people buying a vehicle produced by an American owned auto manufacturer.
The Escape is produced in America by UAW workers at the Kansas City plant. Why should the US give incentives to you to buy a product of Japan ? Or a Japanese owned company?
But that is just my opinion,)

check fueleconomy.com they will give you on the break down on how much you will recieve on tax credit. You only recieve a tax credit on the first 60,000 vehicles that the manufacturers sell. Toyota is out on theirs. You might want to double check but i know for a fact the NIssan Altima Hybrid still gets the tax credit. Go get an Altima and dont waste your time on American products. Thanks and have a nice day.
