Incidentally, in case I did not make it obvious enough, this is an entirely hypothetical scenario. I am in no way saying this either has happened or could happen.

so your saying if man tampered with God's creation at the tiniest molecular level and was able to still produce a living altered creature this would mean something. I think it would be another science idea gone bad like mad cow's disease. You can not alter by action to prove evolution. It would have to happen on its own. So with that said You would actually prove that an intelligent person could prove creation by design.

So what, we created a caveman. The ability to manpulate DNA comes at a price. You're assuming three things.

1. That creatures can mutate across species. This would be like the AIDS virus turning into Hepatitis (both are viruses). We see adaptation in the physical world by organisms becoming resistant to variations in their environment, such as resistance to medications. We don't see Hepatitis turning into a bacteria like herpes (like ape to man), which means that the kind of evolution needed is very unlikely.

2. You're already working from the assumption that we evolved from apes to man. Once again, evolution would leave literally thousands upon thousands of skeletons demonstrating the changes. Why do we have sooooo many dinosaur skeletons, and only a handful of homonid skeletons?

3. Why are there still monkeys? If you believe in survival of the fittest, earlier models would be eradicated. Much like certain flu viruses. As one strain falls victim to the medications used to treat the flu, others become resistant and propegate to become the dominant strain. Those that fall short die out and become no more. If we are the pinnacle of evolution, wouldn't our ancestors surely killed off monkeys and apes in the battle for superoirity?

Let's not try to play "God", let Him do His own work.

This doesn't prove the existence or non existence of God. We didn't exist at that time. "we" meaning you and me. I believe in the Bible and the theory of evolution. Crazy, I know. No one was there thousands of years ago to witness the birth of man. If we are all created with cells and life is carbon based, etc. If there is a God, And I believe there is, he must know a little about it. Since it is said we where created in his image. Perhaps that is where he learned. As for the seven days thing. How long was a day then? What was a day then?
