I've had my Maltese for about 4 months now and he has been fully potty trained ever since we got him, he knows where the puppy pads are, he got neutered this Saturday and we also got a new puppy the same day. Now my Maltese poops and pee's everywhere since Saturday, could it be because he got neutered or the new puppy in the house?

If you had your nuts cut off you would be mad. You also got another dog the same day. It sounds like he has issues and might need to be in therapy to work these out.

Could be a combination of everything. At his age puppies who we thought were fully trained will slip backwards and need to be "retrained" even if the other events didnt happen. Getting a new puppy can sometimes call this behavior too. Make sure you give him as much attention if not more then the puppy so that he doesnt feel the need to rebel. Go back to square one on house training and be extra observant of him so he cant mess in the house. Good Luck!

Crate training is the great process, ive had nothing however success with crate training. If you haven't completed so you have got to get a crate that is just significant enough to your dog, but now not too gigantic that gives him adequate room to move around freely. You place him in his crate and take him out to potty then put him back in etc. Let him out to devour and drink and for play time when you're staring at him. Don't let him just roam around the house freely unsupervised. If you do not catch him going to the bathroom on the floor then there may be not a lot you are able to do.... You must capture him doing it, but do not shout or rub his nose in it simply inform him NO firmly. Praise reward praise and treats for going to the lavatory outside. I found utilising a clicker helped to velocity up the potty training additionally, simply click the clicker as quickly as he finishes relieving his self in the suitable field then give him a treat. If feasible try to take him external each hour not ever go away him within the crate more than 3 to 4 hours at a time. Be patient and optimistically he's going to seize on :) Hope this helps and just right good fortune!

BOTH! Your dog had surgery on his genitals, and he came home to find he wasn't the only dog around any more. It's great that you had him neutered, but that was probably a very difficult day for him!

You'll need to pretend he was never house trained and start all over. You can train the two puppies together now. The older one should get it sooner but you never know.

Maybe he's trying to mark his territory because of the new puppy. You kind of got them too close together in age so things like this will happen.

It could be either reason and to have both at the same time he is confused.
Treat him like he was never house trained and you have to start over her will catch on a let quicker this time.

sometimes neutering doesn't solve those territorial problems, both of my dogs are neutered, and if one pees somewhere, like on a bush, the other one has to pee over it.......it's just wat dogs do....srry! .....yea, it's because of the new puppy.. :)
