Heaven is going to be empty if everyone has to be 100% devoted to god to get in. We are human beings, imperfect by design. If we were perfect, there would be no reason to ask the question. We only worry about perfection because we know we aren't perfect.

Why would god make us imperfect and full of "sin" only to turn around and then demand that we be perfectly sinless before we are "let" into heaven?

The entire concept is devoid of reality.

Look: Devoted to God, yes. If you are devoted to idles, no. And money, sex, boats, golfing can be that. To get into heaven, the answer is so easy it may scare you: God gave His only son, as a true, clean sacrifice, so we can be cleansed and return before God. Jesus Christ replaces the bulls, doves, lambs, rams, etc., in essence all the old testament sacrifice animals. He is the perfect Lamb. The perfect sacrifice and accepting Jesus Christ is the one, the only, the best way into heaven. Just accept Jesus as your Savior, and you will go to heaven. IT'S JUST That simple. You can't live correctly enough, you can't earn brownie points, and you can't be one of only 144,000 chosen to go to heaven. Thank God for Jesus Christ.
