I'll never forget this experience ever! You can ridicule me all you want, but I know something did happen.
About eight years ago, I was so stressed out. Nothing was going right me. I kept falling down as it seemed. One day I had enough of these problems. I went to my room and remember crying while i sat down on the side of my bed. It was early afternoon. I cannot remember if I closed my eyes at this moment or if I had my eyes opened. My bedroom got so bright! I can hardly describe to convince you or anyone. But my bedroom was so luminous. Sitting next me was a man in a white robe with some kind of rope-like belt. He put his hand on my knee and told me "peace be with you." Then everything vanished! My room was right back to normal. I stopped crying. I couldn't believe what had happened.
Did anyone have an experience like this or another?

I think the point that I'm trying to make is I don't know if I dreamt it for the couple of seconds that I sat with my head down or if it was real. It was the only time in my life I had ever experienced that. I never saw his face.

Unique and Karen, thanks for sharing your experience. That means the world to me to know that other people had a similar experience. At least someone knows what i'm talking about. And to others, yes it did encourage me to get up and shape up. I have always been religious never went to bed witout saying my prayers. But, remembering that I was not alone helped me move forward. I have not been in that situation since.

I have not had an experience like that but your experience is uniquely yours. Of course, it was God, or if not Him, an angel. There are others who have seen God or heard His voice. You did not state is your life was different after or if the stress left. It obviously left an impact on you because you do not want to be disillusioned by atheists or agnostics. You have never forgotten it, so I am sure you are not the same as you were before then. "Yes, peace be unto you." I am sure you accepted the encouragement and passed it on to others as you shared with us.

First of all, DJ, don't answer questions if all you are going to do is berate someones experience. 2 points is 2 points but not that way.
I had an experience where all I saw was His Hand. It was reaching out to me. Same very bright light with color. I felt special for having seen His Hand. Don't let anyone rob you of this special experience.

When i was 15 i was doing my homework about 12 midnite sitting on the edge of bed infront of me tv was on, my 2 small sisters were asleep in a bed we all shared. i notice it was too quiet in the room so i looked up to look at tv , that's when i saw a white robe .. a female looking down at me 5 feet from me, smiling and reaching out to me..... i dropped my notebook and jumped between my sisters , she stood there looking just looking , i got so scared i tryed to wake up my sisters but they wouldn't wakeup.NEXT THING U KNOW I PASSED OUT I GUESS ..... next morning i woke up told my mother the experience she said it was an angel .!

I had almost the same experience, but I did not see anyone...its was just to brite to see anyone.and I had to close my eyes because it was soooo brite....after the lite went away, I had a strange calmness come over me...It was truly a remarkable experience and I will never forget it...I remember it like it was an hour ago...and it was 20 years ago...

Yes and that was your guardian angel showing you that times will get better... The pain and sadness we go through down here will be used to measure higher states of happiness in Heaven.

I'm not gonna lie, when I was Christian, I experienced some crazy things and I will never tell! This is why I cannot deny that there is definately a higher spirit or power above myself.

After this happened did life get easier? I want to believe you but I'm not sure if you're being serious. Put trust in God and he'll provide for you.
