No.
We don't worship anything.
We don't congregate on Sundays or any day of the week.
We don't pray.
We don't have a sacred text.
We don't even think of ourselves as "gods" - actually, Christians are the ones who think we have immoratal souls.

Nope, not a religion. As a group we have no meetings, no organization, no dogma, no common anything other than a belief that no God exists or that no God is worthy of worship.
It's been said before, but calling atheism a religion is like calling not collecting stamps a hobby.

i would say that atheism is not a religion, but some fundemantal atheists act religious,
there is a reason for this,
do a yahoo search on something called,
spiral dynamics
and then check it out,
the reality of it is, there are different ways people organize and behave,
so the religious are in these herd mentality groups, and there are atheists in similar herd mentality groups
break free from the herd is my advice

Atheism is not a religion. I don't know where these people get the notion that you must have faith; nay, even MORE faith than a xian to be an atheist. I don't have faith that god does not exist. I don't hope that god doesn't exist.
God is a construct of the bronze-age people who didn't know where lightening, thunder, rain, wind, snow, light, dark, fire and other trivial things we can explain today came from.

Nope, it's not a religion, it's the absence of religion. If you look up the definition of religion, you'll see that atheism in no way qualifies as one.

Not really. A belief system maybe. I tend to agree they are a religion.
My proofs are. They have spriitual or holy books (writings about Atheism and anti-religion). They have organizations (such as the one started by Dawkins and others). They have leaders (holy men). The actively attempt to convert (they are evangelistic).

Good question.
No, we simply don't believe in a supernatural god. To be a religion we would have to have rituals and other sorts of things that would tie us together as a group.

Although there are religious atheists. There are Buddhists and Taoist atheists.

religion is an organized system revolving around a single givin supernatural belief.
we are not religious.
however, the dictionary.com def.:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/religion
is much more ambiguous and might include atheism for some reason...
