I know somebody who had one. She said it made her realize that there was a God but that people don't understand what it means

Never had a near death experience, but I have had an out of body experience. I must have been around eleven when it happened.

I havent personally experienced what most people would call a trajic death experience but 3 weeks back my 18 year old cat was put down, he was in my family for 5 years longer than me! i cared for him and cried but the experience didn't change me much except for the first few days afterword where i was angry at no one and everyone. but i am back to normal except that its painful to bring forth memories of him.

I had an experience that was Hell. I'm serious and will describe it to you if you wish. It happened 23 years ago when I was 27. I did not die. As far as I know, I was not dying when it happened.
It has made me want that no one should ever go to Hell. I know that some will but hope that no one does.

In line with islamic teaching there is no one who died and then come back again to live.Islam does not recognize a reincarnation..So there is no one who has a death experience.It is impossible.If someone live again that is not because he/she died but he/she fainted or was unconscious.Unconscious is different with death.Fainted is like dreaming but he/she is still alive.

I believe the word you refer to is a 'near-death' experience...
Then again it could be that one with such experience could actually posess a person and post an answer here LOL
