I know it's not exactly real life, but the TV show The Bachelor seemed to support this idea. If it is true, then is it best to make the guy work in order for him to like you?

I know it's not true for all girls, but in my case, I never liked pursuing guys, I liked to be pursued.

I think that it is awkward for a person of either sex to have anyone chase after you too hard, because a desperate person puts pressure on you to feel the same way, and this turns people off.

But having someone act too disinterested also makes someone feel frustrated and unappreciated too.

You need a balance between the extremes; act mildly interested, but not too interested.

I don't think so. It has to be a give-and-take thing...if you're acting like you're not interested, or else you flirt but don't actually go out and do stuff, then the man'll get frustrated and give up. I don't think guys like having to do everything, but it's the whole mindset of being a gentleman, and that's been pounded into everyone's head.
