It probably depends on what you want in a state. If you want no state sales AND no state income tax then you might like New Hampshire. I live in Utah and within a 5 hour radius I have:
The Grand Canyon National Park
Yellowstone National Park
Zion's National Park
Arches National Park
Natural Bridges National Monument
Great Basin National Park
Mesa Verde National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park
Capitol Reef National Park
Craters of the Moon National Monument
Grand Teton National Park
Canyonlands National Park
Bonneville Salt Flats
So I guess it's what you like and where you live to access that.

None of those listed. The best state is obviously Tennessee. Anyone that disagrees with me needs to look at UT's football history. Take that Alabama and Florida.

Of those answers, Colorado, but you forgot Iowa. There aren't as many people here and it is the heart of the country.
