My cousin is getting married in summer as well and the colors his fiance picked was a coral color from David's bridal. Here is the link to what the color and dresses look like. I think it could work for your wedding!

Red is always a good color. I'm having a 6:30 pm wedding June 13th 2008 (yes I do know its Friday the 13th) I just thought that was odd. But were using black and white it is so classic and elegant and then accenting with red.
A nice purple or blue would be good. But blue is also overly used. Orange is a good color if it is used correctly. You need to be careful with this. Id more recommend that for a fall wedding (ive seem amazing brown and orange combinations)
Some best sites to get ideas from are www.davidsbridal.com and www.alfredangelo.com also try something like www.willowtreelane.com There you can see favors and invites and everything that will give you some ideas for colors.
Good luck and have fun with the colors!

Since you like orange, that's great, but just watch the shade - you don't want to hit the neon shade. A light burnt orange would be classy, or even something on the dark apricot shade. Then, you could choose another colour to accent that - like an aqua or burgundy - depends if you want to go brighter or not.
Sorry, can't do the link thing, I'm just a luddite!

How about a nice red to add some pop to the gold/champagne? Those compliment each other really nicely. Get something as soft as the champagne if you can or you can go very red.

I'd say go with a coral color, it would look really nice with ivory and champagne accents :D

Such a pretty dress! Well, maybe it'll be a time when you kiss the bride during the sunset. How sweet! Oh, um... well, maybe you could have like a tuscanny color. maybe also a sort of deep but not too deep red. that'll be nice. i love sunsets.

if you look at the sky in the picture i posted, maybe you could try something close to those! loved to help.

I formally chose deep red and deep orange for my colors, but the florist just recommended using "sunset colors," which incorporate my colors, but look more rich and warm. Maybe sunset colors will work for you? I'm hoping they'll work for me...

You're planning early!!! Good for you! You'll thank yourself in May 2009 when you don't have to worry about planning anymore!

You could always use a bright yellow or orange and this should fit in perfectly with the colour scheme you are using.
