first of all, i havent killed anyone, been to jail nor lost a loved one. i just want one and dont ask me why. how much would it cost and how bad would it hurt? and how long would it take to get it done? if i get it, that would be my first tattoo. also, if i apply for jobs and go in for interviews, would the teardrop tattoo be a big issue? since it is so small underneath your eye, it shouldnt be noticed would it? the interviewer or hiring person would probably think its just a mole or something right? another question, assuming that you dont get hired because of the teardrop tattoo. which tattoo is more likely that you dont get hired for a job, a teardrop or a word written on the side of your neck in cursive? last question, what are the best available jobs that someone can get if they have a teardrop tattoo, assuming that they have a bachelor's degree?

There is a reason that facial, front & side neck, and hand tattoos are called JOB KILLERS. For a first tattoo this would be a dumb move!

Do not get a teardrop tattoo. Everyone knows the symbolization of that tattoo and you would be thought of as a poser for having one. You may even get your a** kicked by someone who earned one the real way. If you have no tattoos yet then you need to think a little bit harder about something that you are going to put on your body for life. Imagine explaining your "fake teardrop" tattoo to your children one day and having them realize what a nerd you were. If you are worried about getting a job, then get a tattoo that only the people who really matter to you will see.

You will never get a good job with a teardrop tattoo on your face, or any tattoo on your face. Maybe get a tattoo on the back of your neck, but your employment will still be uncertain.

Don't get a teardrop tattoo. This type of tattoo
is associated with a specific gang. A rival gang
member could be offended by your tattoo and retaliate in some manner. If you must get a
tattoo, don't get this one. And do yourself a
favor and keep the ink off your face, you will
grow older.

A teardrop tattoo and tattoo on your neck says " Hi, I am or was **in jail..**in a gang**killed someone**not someone you want to hire.
If you want a job that is going to pay decent money working in a white collar field don't get a tattoo on anywhere conspicuous. If your are potentially going to be hired in any position where you act as a rep for a big company, they aren't going to not notice a tear tattoo. Get a huge one on your back instead.

I think it would depend on the job. For higher profile jobs I would say have the tattoo removed. Even though I have tattoos they are all coverable for work environment. I still think a lot of businesses find tattoos unacceptable. The writing on the neck would make you unemployable in my book. The tattoo on the face wouldn't necessarily so but I would keep it in mind.

Im pretty sure no respectable artist will even tattoo a teardrop on you anyways it will look really bad and im sure you dont want to be looked at as a killer not just a killer but one that was proud of doing what he did.
