Try using the program called alcohol to burn it. If it is an iso file, then you can burn it, if it is something else like avi or mpg, then you will have to go buy roxio or something that will allow the creation of homemade dvds, then make a menu and insert your video. Then just burn it to a dvd-r or dvd-rw. make sure you have a dvd burner first though.

That depends on what your burning software can handle.
Some can make conversions from a lot of file types automatically, others can not and require specific file types to burn a disc.
