Beware the Jehovah Witness. These insidious beliefs are creeping slowly into solid Christianity, and delivered by the false prophets Paul warned about.
Read Romans 13. It tells all about submitting to the authorities, and is clear about it. "But if you do wrong, be afraid, for the authorities are God's servants to bring punishment on the wrongdoer..." they "do not bear the sword for nothing." This is talking about consequences for criminal action. It is punishment from the minor things to the death penalty. God is all for the death penalty. It is a justifiable punishment and consequence for heinous sin on earth. Then there is still the judgment to face for the individual. These are government and society regulations. For the individual, person to person, God says you shall not murder, but killing in the name of and with the authority of the government is allowed, as in similar principle, the soldier in war. JW don't believe Jesus is deity, so they are not Christians anyway. God will put them with the goats and the criminals they won't punish because they are too cowardly. Where would society be today if all law abiding citizens were JW's? Criminals would rule because of their lack of action. They believe this way, yet inside are gratefull someone else is willing to do the dirty work so they can pretend to be morally superior.
There's further bad news of the JW. If Christ is not God He could not die for your sins, since He would have His own to die for. Therefore you are still in your sins, and perishing......

Funny, Jesus never condemned soldiers for doing their duty, so you are wrong about Jesus; Jesus saved a Roman army commander based on his faith, and Jesus never asked him to stop being a soldier (Mat. 8:5-13)

Paul also said in Romans that the government has the right to use the "sword" to enforce justice (Rom. 13:1-7). A similar passage is found in the Epistles of Peter (1 Peter 2).

When the soldiers came to John the Baptist and ask how to be saved, John told then simply to be honest, and to refrain from taking anyone's money by force or deceit. He did not tell them to stop being soldiers (Luke 3:14).

Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to love others and He explained what He meant. In His great sermon on the mount He said blessed are the peacemakers and not blessed are the pacifists. He further said blessed are those who lay down their lives for others. so, not only is it acceptable for Christians to be soldiers and warriors, it is mandated as our sign of love for others.

It is a misconception by many that their is safety in a lack of war. But, as history has proved peace does not equal safety. During the post Vietnam War "peace" millions died in the killing fields of Cambodia. So serving in the military and as peace officers is an example that Christians should give to the world of sacrifice for others instead of selfish inaction towards the evil of the world.

Jesus also said to abide by the Law of the Land. You absolutely must have the Holy Spirit to interpret the Word of God . That's why there are so many misunderstandings between Christians. God says that He is not the author of confusion. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. He does not lie. Sometimes people walk up to me and prophesy to me . If it doesn't agree with my Spirit , I discard it.
If you don't have the Holy Spirit, please pray that God will fill you with It. Yes , I do believe that soldiers and law enforcement officers can be Christians. God says "Do not murder " . That is different than to kill someone in the line of duty.

Yes most Soldiers, Troops and Cops are religious. The last thing they want to do is kill someone. They are peace makers first and if that doesn't work they are forced to use other means of protection then they do. Their main priority is to Serve and Protect! Serve and protect means not only themselves and their fellow officers but the public. The people are God's eyes to our world! They're Angels in a uniform.

Soldiers in the Naval force, Air force, marines and law enforcement agencies, like the FBI, NBI of the Phlippines, policemen, security guards and other works related to enforce the law are not prohibited to join christianity and in fact al or l most members of those enforcement agencies belong to Christian religion, although however their are Islam and from other groups in the country..

There is nothing written on the bile ab out the prohibition. While on duty to the government, they are bound to protect their country from envasion, from violations of laws and others in their community. In their duties they are governed by the laws of man or law of the country where they are serving and while on thier off duty, they are on the spiritual law or law of God. There is nothing wrong about it as long as they do not abuse their authority beyond the bounds of the law.

Have you read Romans 13:1-7? In those verses Paul refers to the law enforcement as God's servant or minister (verse 4). Also in verse 4 it makes plain that 'bearing the sword' for the purpose of law enforcement is an arrangement ordained of God.

Please read those verses and ask yourself: Does God want all the law enforcement officers in my country to quit their jobs? Do YOU want that? Who would you call if someone robs you? If someone murdered a member of your family, would you want there to be no authority to hold him accountable? Why do you think God wants the world to be in chaos? Read Romans 13:1-7 again.

Think about it.

Yes they can.

There is a difference between killing someone with malice aforethought, versus in battle.

John the Baptist when asked by soldiers what they should do, didn't tell them to drop their arms and quit being soldiers, the conversation went like this: "Even some soldiers were asking him, "And what should we do?" He told them, "Never extort money from anyone by threats or blackmail, and be satisfied with your pay." (Luke 3:14)

Jesus, when speaking with the Roman Centurion, didn't tell him to quit being a soldier, instead the conversation went like this: "For I, too, am a man under authority and have soldiers under me. I say to one 'Go' and he goes, to another 'Come' and he comes, and to my servant 'Do this' and he does it." When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those who were following him, "Truly I tell you, not even in Israel have I found this kind of faith!" (Matthew 8:9-10) He was commended for his faith, and not condemned for being a soldier.

There is no inconsistency with faith and service as a soldier (or police for that matter).

Romans also tells us that we, as Christians, are to maintain peace & respect our governments, as they are instituted by God.

If you're of the opinion that police are violent, or that military personell are nothing more than hired assassins, then that would be against biblical teachings.

Last I checked, though, most police agencies are there to "protect and serve." Isn't that what Christians are supposed to do?

Peter, tells us in 2 Peter 2:13:
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man, for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king as supreme; or unto Governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
Jesus taught:
Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesars; and unto God the things that are God's. -Matthew 22:21.
Your 'feel good fluff' about us being supposed to succumb to evil is very thin indeed.
