I think we need to all have a deep breath and escape from the war raging between us and the athiests. Every day its "Why do christians think blah blah blah"? and likewise its "Why do athiests think blah blah"? It can get very heated in here and cause a lot of frustration. Let's think of this as a therapy session. What would you like to vent? This venting is a means of outlet so we may not say unkind things to others in our answers and that we may love and educate as Jesus did.

personally, and maybe it's just me, but i think people need tio think before they type. people on both sides of the argument seem to spew out the first thought that comes to mind (often in anger) and nothing gets acomplished. i've foujnd that taking a moment to step back, look at the question or argument logicaly, and then formulating a well thougth out response leaves me fealing as though i've made the best argument i can.

also, just a side note, generalizing on both sides needs to stop. just because some people on one side or another act a certaion way doesn't mean the whole side does. people to often end up acused of saying this or thinking that, when they really don't. this can be frustrating and just adds to the anger and hate that cloud this argument and keep it unresolved.

also...no more of this talk of brainwashing. christianity (and atheism) is not a cult. stop treating it as such and maybe this debate can actually be fruitful.

My beef is with other Christians.
I just don't understand they get mad at atheists. Some even say they shouldn't be here which is absurd! THEY are the reason I am here.
I don't take offense when they cut me down. I used to do the same thing until I learned the truth about Jesus.

So to all Atheists. I want you here, I'm glad you are here, in fact if you weren't here I wouldn't be either.
God bless,

I answer questions here, In a non-judgmental way...Ranting at someone because they do not believe the same as you do, does no good...Everyone here is entitled to their own opinion...no matter what their beliefs are...but there are those few that continue to only be here to make trouble in general.

Wow... I never knew Christians treated their own kind so cruelly... but as for a stop to the war... it wouldn't be bad and I do believe that many atheists would stop for a small amount of time... but R&S wouldn't be the same!! The conflict makes it entertaining... good try though...

Christians need to ask themselves why they get so defensive.
Atheists have nothing to defend, but they do have a reason to be concerned that legislation is being passed based solely on fundamental beliefs.
