The more you dwell on something, the more importance you give to that person. What you want to do is make them irrelevant.
In your case, all I can say is: living well is the best revenge!!!! I mean, your bf cheated on you. He probably cheated on the other girl too (if that makes you feel any better). He probably will look back at this some day and think that he messed up. He might even contact you again and apologize and whine to you that he's changed and that you should take him back.
You can then always decide if you want him back. But I just want to throw this out there: he's in a way used goods. because he's screwed around and you don't know WHAT he did.
So.... take the high road. Turn yourself into this smart, intelligent, desirable, beautiful and successful (i.e make more money than he ever will) human being. He'll be SO sorry he didn't treat you better. That's what it means: living well is the best revenge.
Good luck!
PS: Just a thought and a great example: J.K. Rowling's first husband dumped her. Now she is one of the richest women on the planet. And her first husband, who is he? Kicking himself in the **** for treating her so badly.

Yes. It always takes some time for things to set in. Down the road in their life, they will be sitting alone just thinking about everything. The human brain seems to retain all the negative events in life more so than the generally positive things. It's pretty weird. Like, I can remember exactly when I spilled coffee on my English teacher eight years ago, yet I can't even remember who my first grade teacher was.
Don't worry. Your ex-boyfriend will realize what mistakes he has made and definitely regret them. He may or may not show it and it may take him quite some time, but it will happen.
Only time can tell...

It all depends on the character of the person. Some people are so emotionally detached, they could be labeled as psychopaths my psychologists. Some people feel bad if they matured and see the person that they wronged. I think that good people who make mistakes will think about it. I think about wrongs that I've done to others all the time and wish I could have changed things. I'd like to think that most people are the same way.

Unfortunately the type of person who does things like that often does not have the conscience for regret. At any time.
It is the same reason that they never comprehend that their bad Karma comes back to get them eventually as well.
Its nice to think that there is a level of Karmic justice though.

You know what...that's a great question! Most men and women that have done what he did to you did that to lots of other people. When Karma comes back to bite them in the butt, they might not feel sorry or regret for you in particular, but rather for everyone they've hurt. They'll look back and remember all of the horrible things they've done. So yes, at some point people do have to face what they've done! They wouldn't do it, if it wasn't for that one lady. What's her name? Oh, yea, KARMA!!! She'll handle him sweetie!

it's called karma.
What goes around comes around.
If the other person doesn't regret the hurtful things they did in the past, I gaurantee you it will happen to them in the future. Then they will know how it feels like.
If its revenge you seek, honestly move on. Just know that he will be cheated on. I gaurantee you more than once. And it will be way worse of a blow to him then, the blow he gave you.
Leave him, move on, Theres a lot more fishes in the sea. you just got to move your ex to the side and see.

I know I've said some mean things to people, and I certainly do regret some of them. People grow up, and usually they'll look back to the unkind things they've done to people and be ashamed.

I have regretted many things in my life and I'm sure other people did as well. As for men who date two women at once, no buttholes like that never change.

I believe most people will, but not all.
There are just some people that do not have a conscience, and has the inability to recognize things of that nature.
Sad, but true.

More than likely, once they grow up a bit and can reflect back with maturity and a different perspective. (especially if they have just watched 'Flatliners')
Some people just don't give a rat's **** in general though
