My career is ....STUDENT...yeah I have a job but it's just a J-O-B.......I'd have to send u an email to get detailed about this but basically I thought I would travel for a while (which I did but not as much as I wanted) after college...and then be a foreign language teacher in high school becuase I had really great really inspiring teachers. I didn't finish college....it's a bit of a story...it wasn't quite my choice it was just what God chose for me...
Then I became muslim....had a lot of stuff I had to straighten out in my life...
Moved (to a place I hate :( --I don't suggest doing this) that is a whole other story but it is turning out okay now -PATIENCE IS IMPORTANT --God keeps giving me this lesson, I think I am finally learning it...
I'm back in school again but now I want to be a Foreign Language College(university in what u call it there, no?) Professor
I Love Languages and I love research so being a Professor is great for me plus I still will have students on whom I can make an impact -- they might not be as young but it is still important. Knowledge given is a continous charity even after you are dead mashallah!
I kinda had a leaning to this type of thing but I had taken (and still do sometimes) aptitude tests and personality tests etc that help you see what you would be good at. But I really think it is important for you to do what you LOVE.
What are your interests? Maybe we can help you translate them into a career! I still get down every now and then by this career thing...working towards a PHD here can take a long time...and I'm married...but I've talked to some female profs of mine and they all said it was great for them. They got to be hands on moms and do what they love! Best of luck to you!
take a variety of courses and then choose after a year or so...ppl tend to change their majors at least once in college anyway

I really think that depends on your talents and what you would enjoy and what comes natural. I also think that if a woman is going to have children then she should make her family her first priority. She can cook garden, home school if desired. But women today they think that that is not a career. Some women are just not cut out for the career world. And that doesn not make them less of a person. In fact it makes them a better mom, wife and home maker. The family becomes happier and the women more happy and peaceful. Then you can do some side work when you have enough time. I do reflexology out of my home and Have tiem for everyting else and feel satisfied and happy as does my husband. Not everyone is cut out for the career world . Don't feel guilty if you are one of the normal ones.Frankly women have lost their femaninity by becoming big working women overpowering their men. God Bless on you journey.

First off are you a Christian? Then pray and ask God. Your parents and pastor will usually help to guide you and you will eventually make the right decision.
People do take general courses in school and decide later.. Some careers don't allow this,, ie doctor..
If you are not a christian then ask your folks for help but you ultimately make the final decision that you have peace about.
If you really can't decide then take general courses until you find something you want to pursue.. I should think that by now you would know your own likes and dislikes in subjects in school..

Okay, first things first, as far as religion goes, I am part of the Christian left. (meaning I am a Christian, but left wing). I have had a variety of careers and always followed my interests to guide me. But even though I was working in fields that interested me and I was passionate about, I felt like something was missing. I felt like I really needed to make an impact in order to be happy with my job. So I started working in the non-profit sector. The pay sucks and it's not easy work but it's definitely fulfilling.

There are a number of assessments you can take which may help you understand how your mental, emotional and physical makeup combine to make you suited for various careers.
Here are a few you might consider:
Strong-Campbell Inventory, Myers-Briggs, Holland, Career Assessment Inventory, and the Enderle-Severson Transition Rating Scale.
If you Google the above, I am sure you can find some freebies online. Also, talk to your local employment securities department (assuming you are American) and ask if they can recommend a career assessment or provide career counseling.
Lastly, since I believe in God and am a Christian, I believe that God created you with destiny in mind. For that reason, it is critical that you determine what that is. Thankfully, He is willing to help you discover it. If you do not have a relationship with Him, email me for details on how to get started, or just Google, "becoming a Christian."

Find a job that you know will not go out of style. Like a police officer or a nurse, anything in the medical field. You can try careers out by volunteering your time, ex..at a hospital. Or going on a ride along with a police officer. (These 2 are just examples I am using.)
Your passion for a certain thing in life can help you make this decision.
PS I am Catholic.

Well, I'm a Christian.
I chose my first career (OTR Truck Driver), but had to end it because it took me away from my children at a time when they needed me most.
Then I gave in and told God I was prepared to do whatever He had originally planned for me. Turns out it was Christian Family Counseling. He provided the education & the funding.
That's my only advice - seek God's will for your life. It's the only way I can see to be in the position that will make you ultimately happy.

I read that most people will change their career an average of seven times in their life.
For a while, the career I'm currently in was fun. Now I'm bored and want to find something new to do. Picking a career is not set in stone....you're always able to change it.

I am Jesus Name . When picking a career here are somethings you need to consider. How important is money to you? What do you like to do? What kind of work would you do for no pay? Regardless of the money the career you pick needs to be something you enjoy.

Maybe sounds strange but I'm a born Architect. I was the only one in my family with a predetermined profession. The route was a hard one, but I'm very happy.
My recommendation is to look at the things that you love to do and the ones that you make easy.
Use your free will to decide.
Oh, my religion?
Do I need one?
