yes i concur,
the church nowadays seems to me to be judging and discriminating against so many people!! jesus taught to love everyone no matter what !
i bet if there is jesus he's crying in heaven.

Off Course Jesus is judgemental. He is the Judge! He can judge wisely. For the church.. it's not church place to judge. So in a way I agree with you that church misrepresent Jesus.

That can be true depending on where you attend Church and your experiences with the Church.
You know I have been learning lately a really tough lesson to live in unity with fellow Christians (as it states very regularly in the new testament). and non of them are perfect, I am not perfect, but God loves me and asks me to love other imperfect Christians. I know how bad I have been, I know how bad some other Christians have been.
The verse that Jesus says "Love one another, by this all men shall know that you are my disciples if you love one another, as I have loved you" (I think I have paraphrased, it is in John when Jesus is talking about Sheep)
We weren't called to an easy ride, we were called to service and obedience, even when churches are judgemental we have to submit to the authority and pray like crazy that God intervenes, the best place to start is change your attitude, and watch God work. (Tough call I know but I am in the same boat.)

No.... I don't. Jesus was a righteous judge. Remember he turned the table in the church because he was angry at their gambling? That was based on a valid, necessary, righteous judgement.
There's also verses that say that if someone within the church is committing adultery to "expel" him or her.
It's necessary that we make righteous God inspired judgements within our churches or they'd be out of control. It's necessary to maintain some order.

not entirely. churches are made up of individuals. I've yet to find two churches that believe the exact same thing.
sometimes a statement is often taken as a judgement. if I say "I condemn you to Hell" or "you heathen", I am judging you. if you ask me "will I go to Heaven? I'm not saved" and I say "no", I'm just making a statement.
and I wouldn't really call myself good though. I'm not always the nicest guy...

Actually, Jesus was quite judgmental. He called some people "dogs", "snakes" "wolves" in sheep's clothing (where did you think this phrase came from?), "corrupt", and "rotten".
And Jesus drove the money lenders out of the temple with a whip, and called them "thieves".
Jesus judged people for different things than the modern day church does, however, if that is what you mean.

Read the book of John, Mark, Matthew and Luke. Why would you ask other people when you could read it foer yourself....
As far as churches that "judge", the Scriptures teach us to only judge the people within the church if they are in serious sin. The apostle Paul says God with Judge those outside the church.

What Church are you speaking about ?? There are many so you need to narrow in on the one you mean. I doubt if even the Good Christians can answer that one, until you pin point the Church.

Um...no. At least my denomination tells us that only Jesus has the authority to judge souls. PEOPLE can be judgemental, but for the most part most churches really aren't.

Yes, I completely agree! Most churches that I have been to really don't practice what they preach. They will have all of these rules of the church and whatnot, and who are they to make rules. Their job is to inform people of jesus and to spread love. Not judge people for the things they do.
