If you walk as Jesus instructs:

Besides eternal life.

Freedom from sexual disease - seeing as you won't be involved in sexual immorality

Freedom from the effects of alcholicsm - seeing as you won't be an alcoholic

Freedom from anxiety and its effects

Freedom from punishment for criminal activity - seeing as you won't be involved in criminal activity.

Freedom from the effects of drug addiction - seeing as you won't be involved with drug abuse.

And so on and so forth.

part of being a Christain is following Gods law, and some of these can be (physically) benificial to your health.

one, ever heard the phrase 'you're body is a temple'? that comes from the Bible and Christianity, and therefore, if you follow Christianity, you respect you're body and try not to use/do unhealthy things.

two, and this isn't meant to offend anyone so don't take it that way, the bible (and God) state some clear 'resltraints' on 'sexual activity' such as waiting until marraige and only having one partner. like it or not, this is a healthier lifestyle (again, please don't take offense, because i'm just pointing out a fact, not trying to condem anyone). it lessens the risk of STD's (which most of us agree are unhealthy) and unwanted pregnancies (which can be unhealthy for both the parents and the child.

three, personally, i find burning in an eternal fire moderately unhealthy...i guess thats up to you to deside, but most of us would agree that an eternity is along time to burn and will most likely result in some severe burnage...; )

so maybe the last one isn't actually serious, but the other two are, and i hope they answer your question.

More peace in our life and less stress so the heart attack rate could be lower for Christians. Although we stress ourselves not to sin. We get strength in times of trouble and get mental relief from our burdens as we put things in God's hands. Plus I believe God has healed people from illness as some Doctors can not explain some recoveries and women give birth to babies that had no chance of survival and came thru without defects from prayer.

I guess for the ones that take the sex rules seriously, a reduced chance of getting an STD or STI is present. For the Mormons who are opposed to caffeine and alcohol, liver problems and psychological issues with alcohol are probably reduced. For the Christian who take the rules against gluttony seriously than of course overweightness and related illnesses are greatly reduced.

"With His stripes we are healed". That does not mean physical health, it means spiritual healing. I have had a chronic illness for most of my life- I am almost 49 years old. I have been a Christian for over 30 years. I have prayed that God would heal me- He has chosen to allow me to continue in pain, to glorify Him more through it. I can relate to Paul in this. PLEASE- everyone who reads this do not think that if I or anyone else who believe in Christ they will never suffer physical pain. That is not what Jesus died for- if it was Christian's would stay here on earth forever and not die. I am not saying that I would not love to be healed, but if not now, I will live pain free for eternity.

When you accept the Lord's salvation from self and being in the grip of satan, you also are accepting His Health Rules on faith that He knows what He is talking about.
Satan puts a wrench in the world, with sin, germs, rott and death- but we can live better while we are waiting for our appointed time to die, by following His Laws of health.
Prayer has healed me from many things.
I believe that you die the same day whether you take care of yourself or not, but you just may be languishing on a bed from bad choices instead of enjoying your life because you took responsibility for your health, on the day you die. He makes' us grow closer to Him by our tragedies, hopefully- fit for the Kingdom. He just wants' us to give it all to Him, and He is Sovriegn.
If you don't sleep well for ten years, your immune system is being shot, and Drs. say you will simply die; after you become psychotic first. The Lord made rest (In rest and restoration ye shall find Me says the Lord).
When you take meth, you rot your body.
The Lord says all things in moderation when eating.
Exercise tones' you, but you will still die the same day He has appointed- The Bible says it is better to learn all of God's Words than to exercise. We have many pounds per square inch of our body surface being pushed on by gravity, and that tones' our body plenty, if we just don't let ourselves sit all day.
God gave these Health Rules in the Old Testament and they hold up today- they were carried out and checked on by the priests.
Pork used to be forbidden, because God knew that they ran wild and ate all kinds of carreon and were filled with parasites. Now we have the FFDA.
He had priests and His people rinse their hands in 7 barrels of water, which ends up to be the equivalent of 30 seconds, the minimum alloted time that health officials say you should scrub your hands for, to remove germs.
Homosexuals die early- not living past 35 to 40, because they defy the Lord's purity rules as well as health rules, for one-the other is their lifestyle-they kill each other.
We get flu shots to help ward off the pneumonia that can attack us when we have gotten run down from the flu bug.
We accept Gods' health rules to eat a variety of food, as He said all food is good for the body if prepared the right way etc.
We get out in the air, drink fresh water and have fun, because it is good for us, as He said.
We laugh and be around people, to be happy.
We think of good things, to have peace.
These latter bring health.
