Argus is Greek, for valiant gaurdian. Another good one is Asim, have a friend by that name. It is aribic for guardian, I think. Eamon I found, it's anglo-saxon, means wealthy guardian. Edward is my favorite because, despite how boring it sounds, it means "Guardian of the Mists". Good book title, eh?
