Jack Dempsey by a brutal KO! It would end early, I don't think the fight would even go 4 rounds. The only reason Marciano stayed undefeated was he retired before he had to fight Floyd Patterson or Sonny Liston. Sonny Liston would have murdered Marciano!

are you talking about jack dempsey and rocky marciano? if so, then i would say that rocky marciano would most likely win. he had an 88% knockout rate, and is the only heavyweight champion who hasn't been defeated nor drawn in his professional career. jack dempsey was known more for his popularity, and even though he held the world heavyweight title for seven yrs, the quality of the boxing would have differed from rocky's style, and therefore based on that, and the fact that there was a time when jack dempsey had a knock-out by Jim Flynn, and even though that was the only time he's been knocked out, it opens up the possibility that if he were to take on someone like rocky marciano, he would be defeated

Holy Toledo! There better be an ambulance at ringside! Of course there is no way of really knowing who wins between the greats from different eras but here is my take: They were both devastating punchers and tough as nails (about the same weight too!) I say Rocky gets knocked down 2-3 times but comes back to KO Dempsey in the 10th round. The difference is conditioning and will. I believe Rocky is #1 all-time in both categories. I think he would just keep coming until he caught Dempsey right on that large chin of his - fight over! ( Ray Arcel - the father of modern boxing who saw them all from Dempsey to Holyfield, said that Dempsey could beat Louis, Rocky, Ali - all of them!) P.S. Dempsey knocked out his wife's purse snatcher with one punch on the streets of Manhattan when he was 82 years old!!!!!!

Jack Dempsey. He's much more skilled than Marciano and his swarming and incessant assaults would surely get the better of him. While Rocky's more powerful, he relies on one big shot and doesn't punch in sustained combinations. Dempsey, on the other hand, unleashes dozens of punches and has decent power himself so he'd surely get the Rock within 5.

Hard to say. . . . . . . they're both DEAD!

I've seen motion pictures of both fighters and I think Dempsey was like a big piece of gristle and hard to knock down, much less out. I think Marciano would hit him a lot but Dempsey would eventually win.

I think Ali would have made BOTH fighters look bad in the ring because of his boxing skills and speed.

My late father said Dempsey would have won, but how do you bet against a guy who never lost? Rocky would have found a way
