10-15 pounds by the end of the month is a lot. Be reasonable, do what you can without causing danger. Be happy with yourself.

Aim to lose a lil at a time first. Start with 5 pounds then 10. Don't set a deadline or you might be faced with disappointment that could in fact set you back. The thing to staying healthy yet losing weight is a regular balanced diet, normal lifestyle and constant exercises. Don't skip any meals but have plenty of fruits and vege. You may take white meat for the protein. Fiber intake is also important for good digestion. Normal lifestyle means getting enough rest so you shouldn't do anything out of the ordinary. Do pick up a sport, something that you like so you can continue with it. Swimming is always a good exercise and it works your whole body. To shape up, try kickboxing, step-aerobics, jogging and not forgetting your crunches and sit-ups.

To be totally honest with you, you are at a healthy weight! But if you really want to lose weight, eat an apple for breakfast...this will not only give you energy, but it's healthy and will fill you up! Breakfast is the most important meal! Then eat a small lunch...maybe a small salad or fruit. Then eat a healthy dinner with some sort of meat. Try not to drink any soda. Drink plenty of water, and don't eat 3-4 hours before you go to bed because your body's metabolism slows when you're sleeping and you won't digest your food as well. Good luck!

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I have heard that eating 6 small meals a day(when I say small I mean like a piece of fruit), boosts your metabolism, but what ever you do make sure that you do it healthy. Yoga, Tai-bo, and running are all great full body exercises also. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

You might consider checking out a glycemic index of the foods you eat. A person can eat totally vegetarian but if they are high glycemic fruits and veggies the insulin level will raise to a point that the body cannot handle it anymore and it will turn to fat.

try eating more vegetables (foods that have less carbs)
also drink water and at least a glass of milk everyday
and most of all try to exercise at 1 hour a day

hope this helps :)
