I'm never going to suffer in my relationsihp. I'm in love with the most caring, most beautiful woman on the planet. We have a near-perfect relationship and I love her to death. Everybody at my high school says that they're jealous that I have her and they never can.

It depends on how picky you are. This is a gift of love from him, so no matter what it should be the right ring. If you are concerned that you won't be happy unless you have the right ring, then maybe you should just show him one day when you are in the mall. If you are getting married, then you should feel comfortable enough to speak your mind about anything that's important to you.
