Ive moved to a new area and don't know anybody. I want to make some friend's and would like to get to know some guy's as well. Where would be a good place to meet guys besides the bar's?

the mall, church, take a class at the local college, check your county for free classes and events that you are interested in, go to the ymca or gym, coffee shop, and please dont be afraid to use really silly pickup lines if you see a guy that interests you. i always use something like a real icebreaker.
they think its really cute. dont just sit there and wait for them to do it cuz they are probably just as shy as you.

Quickest way is to try an online matchmaker site like Yahoo, e-harmony, match-makerdotcom, etc.
But beyond that I think it depends on your interests. I could suggest "at the gym", but if you don't enjoy going to the gym, you may not be attracted to guys that go to the gym either.
Find social activities you enjoy, then incorporate them into a way of meeting new people, making friends. Perhaps it will be through music (local concerts), reading (book club), or sports (co-ed soccer, golf clubs).
Personally, I never seem to meet people when I am looking. I always seem to meet "the one" out of coincidence or blind luck, never on "bar nights".

Depending on your age
Teenager-13_17 my guess would be at a bowling Alley, an Arcade, a Skateing rink or a gym (or YMCA), and the movies.
Adult-18_old A bar, A club, a the movies, and anything else that an adult would be at.

I believe the best place is at a church. Get involved in some of the activities.

Go to some places where you like to go. You'll probably find someone there that has a common interest:
church, ballgame, batting cages, theater, take a class (cooking or something)

Try church ... if you go to church. Use your imagination... supermarket, sports events, through work, this group, etc. Just make sure if you meet someone ... play it safe. Go to places that are very public until you get to know them better.

Try your local church, they sometimes have singles groups that go bowling, play pool, and etc. It's safe, and who knows, Mr. Right might be going to find a woman with a great sense of humor...

It depends on what kind of people you want to meet. Theres always certain kinds of people at certain places.
You could always take some sort of hobby class.
