Do i need a home # to get dsl??! I live in Norwich,Ct. Because I have all access phone line now..call waiting,caller id, long and local calls unlimted etc. All my calls are long distance. Will i beable to get internet connection still??!!

no, just get a dry (naked) DSL line...see if you can get Verizon or earthlink DSL....

I have just basic phone service, and DSL...If you are with a 'land-line' company such as Verizon, check and see if DSL is available in your area. If you are too far from the Central Office, you may not be able to get it. The limit used to be 15,000 feet, or around 3 miles. It may be a bit better now. Many areas still do not have DSL access. Cable is faster, but quite a bit more expensive. My DSL is $19.95...When I had Cable access, it was over $45.00 a month.!!!!

Yes, but you have to get it through your landline provider (ie, MCI, Verizon or AT&T).

If you use VoIP, you are better off with cable. The phone companies won't give you the cheap DSL rates unless you have a calling package to go with it.
