Ok, I have Kbuntu downloaded and put on a disk already. Now what do i do? I need step by step instructions and if i need anything else i will need to know how to find it (free version).Thank you...........

I have a Dell too if that changes anything. And when i go to the Bios thing and click on the cd/dvd/ bla bla bla it just goes to the vista log on screen.
What do i do?

Well you are almost there... just BOOT the CD.
Actually you can run from the CD to see if you want to install it, it like Ubuntu now is a live CD so it can run directly from the CD.
Once you boot into the system there will be an icon to "install" if you click it, it will prompt you for the installation.

Go into your systems BIOS and select the CD-ROM drive as the first boot device. Then boot to the CD and follow the onscreen prompts for installation.
