As far as on the cob, I just lightly butter & sprinkle with a little salt......Silver queen white corn is my favorite with Peaches & Cream a close second. As far as a meal goes, nothing is better than thick cut rib-eyes - grilled medium rare, then served with fresh grilled corn on the cob, loaded bakers & homemade garlic bread.........

Seasoned Sweet Corn

Ingredients
6 ears sweet corn
1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter
Seasoned Salt

Directions
Gently pull back each husk without removing it from the corn cob. Using a damp paper towel, remove any corn silk from kernels. Fold each husk back into place; secure with a kitchen twine. Soak corn in water for 1-3 hours. Remove from water. Grill over medium heat, turning frequently, for about 20-30 minutes or until corn begins to steam. Carefully open each husk. Spread each with butter; sprinkle with Seasoned Salt to taste. Makes 6 srvings.

I know it's a lot of starchy foods together but you can't beat mashed potatoes with corn on the cob.

On the corn... Old Bay and Butter. As another side, then Id say a nice salad or cole slaw. Even grilled asparagus. Yum

Butter, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.

As a meal, can't beat pulled pork BBQ or BBQ chicken with fresh biscuits and coleslaw. Glass of iced tea or lemonade.
