I am running Vista and everytime i open something it asks "Do you want to do this" well duh if i didnt i wouldnt have clicked on it.

How can i turn off this? its annoying as hell.

That has been one of the main gripes about it.. if you turn off User Account Control you will be rid of it.. but check the link below before you do.. most of the extra security offered by Vista is within this dumb control!

Yes you can turn it off BUT then you will keep getting a message suggesting you turn it back on for security

this is the ever touted Vista security system at work (lol).try going into your security settings and see if there is a place to shut it down there.
