My mom said that I would be able to go to Kansas City to go to a Weird Al Yankovic concert. And then she said the next day that I couldnt becasue it was too dangerous there! What should I do? I've always wanted to go to a Weird Al concert! What can I do to convince her that I should be able to go?

Be understanding- if you still have to ask permission to go places without a parent, like if your under 18 and not away from home, then your mom has the right to be worried about you. concerts are dangerous places for teenage girls- i have been to over 6 concerts in more than one city, and things DO happen- bad things. Plus, every concert i have been to, someone has come with me that is older than me, and the same for other high school girls- they were all there with older sisters or fathers or mothers. so its best if you talk to her and ask if she could go with you or an older sister, if you have one- or even an older cousin!

Sorry I live in KC, it is not dangerous compared to most medium sized cities. When the concert is going on it is safe, police are there to direct traffic and keep a general eye on things. Is he at Kemper or Starlight or Midland?
Really the best I can think of is to invite her too! She might like his zany style.

My mom is the same way, when I was 17 I really wanted to go to the Warped Tour with a few of my friends and she said no, she is just trying to keep you safe.
Tell her that you're going with a buff guy, and he'll be able to protect you lol.....

well, if mom says no, i guess she means no?you didn't say how old you were or where you lived, that all makes a difference, if you really want to go, have mom go with you?do it together, its safer,plus you'll be doing a family thing together, try it you both may have fun???????good luck

Just tell her that u are sleeping at a friends house someone who she trust and then go lol its not difficult
