Snowbird/Alta of course. I grew up skiing at both places dreaming of the day when you would be able to ski both resorts on one pass. A few years ago Snowbird built a lift to Alta and now you can ski the 2 best resorts in the world with the Best Snow on the same day!!!!

depends on the type of skiing you like, for steeps crested butte, jackson, squaw or a little known hill near LA calif called mt baldy, they never have snow but when they do it's awful good. for bumps sun valley or winter park. for powder a little place called wolf creek in CO or anywhere in utah. for funky thick crud, up here in the sierra or the pacific NW, ya I know, nobody likes to ski the thick crap but if you can look good in that stuff then those beautiful powder days will be heroic.... there is no right answer here and there are way to many places that could make this list......

I don't know what country you're referring to, but this New Yorker votes for Kicking Horse at Golden, British Columbia, Canada. No resort town but great for skiing.

I think that any of the Jackson Hole resorts are the best. The powder is so deep and the resorts are very steep. Steep and deep that I all I want.
