I believe in GOD. I don’t believe in any man made religion. If we as humans can kill anyone in the name of GOD, I can not be religious. Then the Religions that say they don’t kill in the name of GOD but then condemn anyone for not believing their way is just as bad.
So my question: Where does that put me?
Anyone else feel like this?
Sorry two questions.

I love Jesus Christ. I love what HE said, "Forgive them Father.... For they know not what they do."

Fred: I can feel it, he is real. He helps me forgive all the things I have done, and helps me to forgive those that have wronged me. One thing I wont do is put you or anyone else down for not beliveing in him, my way. As a group here on Yahoo, I get the feeling that we can come together as one and love GOD and each other. Take care

You probably admit your fallibility. The people who fight are sure from belief they are right (infallible, perfect in judgment).
They mistake belief for being right about something. Many people believe in many things. I believe in God and also that sodium and chlorine will combine to form salt. I do not believe I am perfect or infallible so I question myself and self examine.
You are not so lost in your judgment so be grateful you are not acting as your God in judgment agaist others.

Hey, let me tell you I feel your pain, and I'm a Christian. I have been thrown out of so many churches because I told them their doctrines sucked ***, and their blind attacking of non christians was just plain ... NON CHRISTIAN!! *shrugs* oh well... look pal, bottom line is that the bible plainly states that the only way into heaven is through Jesus, so it seems pretty easy to me, no need to blow up a mosque, no need to wrap yourself in explosives and run into a grocery store. Hell! no reason to kiss the popes ring or sell your house and send the money to a tele evangelist! Just believe in the name, and sacrifice of Jesus to get you where you want to go.
Now as a huge C.S. Lewis fan I should add that if you believe incontrovertably that Allah is the way, or Buddah, then follow whatever guidlines they have that's fine with me. I guess on a personal level for anyone the key is to actually TRY to do something for your souls future instead of just living for present pleasures. I guess that's why sometimes I think Agnostics are just too lazy to believe anything, but *shrugs again* that's the way it is.

Personally I don't believe in God, but I am in agreement with basically everything you say. I'm really not sure if there is a term for it - Basically not a hypocrite, that sounds about right, at least on the religious scale. Realize however, is not about killing, if the followers of their religion would truly well..follow the word of their religion, the killing would not take place. Whether it be pseudo-Muslims blowing people up, and isolating themselves from "infadels," or pseudo-Christians shooting up abortion clinics, or shunning those who don't fall into the "mainstream," It's all the same.

I absolutely feel this way. I think organized religions tend to become more about the religion than they do about getting to know God, and incorporating Him into every day life. REAL life. My younger sister is very 'into' her religion to the point where she keeps her children sheltered from reality. (They interact only with other church kids, they watch ONLY religious video tapes, no other TV etc...)That's fine for her, but I question whether or not God wants that. If your faith is never tested...how strong is it, really?
I think the way you feel, puts you in the company of MANY like you.

A lot of people feel like you do. The way I see it, religion, like many things, can be either good or bad. If it is used as a tool to help one be a better person and be closer to God, then it is good. If it used as an excuse to do terrible things, or it separates you from God, then it is a bad thing.

If it makes you feel better go kill something in your god's name and then you can fit in. My suggestions would be to kill some chocolate cake or maybe even a bowl of ice cream. Those are always best to kill.

The tooth fairy actually infects the remaining gums, yet he projects himself as a benevolent fairy. If even the tooth fairy cannot be trusted, then who could trust a god that is not even real.

Would that be luke warm? I'm not sure, because you don't mention Christ. What do you do with Him? Therein lies the answer to your question.
