For the past 3 days I've been having these funny pains in my lower stomach below my belly button. I have a very unsual diet, in that alot of the time I don't eat. I've been trying to eat more, but when I do eat it's normally unhealthy sweet snacks. I hadn't eaten for the last two days, because I was worried about this pain ( thats just something I do ) and today I ate, but the pain is still there. I was worried that it was my appendix, another phase I go through. Last time I went to the doctors about it, they said it was my bad diet, that was causing problems with my digestion. It feels bloated in my stomach although I haven't eaten and its hurting down both sides of life my whole body on and off. Basically I just have alot of pain all over and wonder what is causing this, I'm really worried

With your poor diet and lack of eating, it sounds like you may have developed a Ulcer, and your natural stomach acid is upsetting it.

You need to go talk with a Dr. and make sure you have not done too much damage to the lining of your stomach.

Try eating a lot of bread products - saltless crackers and see if the pain settle down a bit. The bread products will help absorb the stomach acid and ease the discomfort. If in fact, i'm right.

Don't wait because an Ulcer, if left untreated, could put you in the hospital and even be fatal.

Don't read this and do nothing...go set an appointment w/ a Doctor.

Good luck!

I'm 50, and when that happens my health advisor has me take Ibuprofen (my prescription pain killer won't even work cause it's a different kind of pain) & apply progesterone cream (in a different spot each time) from the health food store once a day until my flow stops. The ibuprofen stops the pain, the progesterone fixes the problem for the next time around, for me at least.

When you don't eat you may be causing cramping in your digestive track/stalling. Usually appendicitis actually hurts on the left side of your body. I get those belly button pains every once in a while. May just be gas building b/c of all the juices not being used during digestion b/c you aren't eating. If you don't eat and then eat 1 day it isn't going to get better just b/c you ate one day. You have to eat regularly.

Its your appendix. I had the same problem. It might not be appendisitis though. I had the same pain so i wnt to the emergency room. I got a mamogram and it came up that i had a stone in my appendix and i had inflamation of the tip of the appendix. Or it could be really bad cramps. That i also have. It goes down your legs and through the lower part of your back and stomach. Either one is no fun.

Add fiber and a lot more water to your diet. If your doctor's have ruled out appendicitis, you are probably having problems with your gut (lower/upper intestines). Fiber is usually one of the recommended foods to add. Fruits and vegetables (including beans like peanuts etc) have a lot of fiber but most of them don't have a lot of calories. So add some healthy foods to your diet and drink more liquid (water is best).

I wouldn't say that it is appendicitis. It maybe diverticulitis or diverticulosis, crohns, who knows. What you need is to go to the doctor and have him order a ct abd/pel to find your problem.
