you're body will let you know

Fitness models do an hour of cardio, and an hour of weight training 6 days a week. Personally, that's too much for me, but i'm not a fitness model anyways!

If you can 2hours on the eliptical no problem, you're not working out hard enough so you're not really doing much. If you can lift weights for 30 reps...your weight isn't hard enough and your not doing much.

So we don't know if you're over excerising because you didn't say how much you excerise.

well there actually is an eating disorder that is called exercise bulimia. its where you only allow yourself a certain amount of calories per day and exercise almost all of all of those calories off. so basically its where you take a diet way too far. but i would say look on line. ask google. it really is amazing. or go to a nutritionist

The more you exercise you will become more conscious of your body. You will develope ways to read signals that your body gives off.
Over-exercising is very common and a couple of signs are lack of progress and fatigue.

Look out for:
Constant muscle fatigue - Of course your muscles will be sore at times, but they should recover.
For women - Drastic change or absence of your menstrual cycle.
Changes in the color of your urine (dark) with odor due to depleted nutrients & heightened metabolism.
There are other signs, but these are some easily detected ones.
Good luck!

It is true exercising releases free radical that are associated with lots of bad things like cancer. You can counter them by eating lots of antioxident rich foods.

I don't think there are symptoms right away...it takes a long time for the damage to show.

If you are exercizing everyday so hard that you can not speak beacause you're panting too hard, you're doing too much; however once or twice a week of that kind of exercize is fine. It builds stamina. If your everyday excersize is moderate don't worry so much. your immune system will be fine.

1) If you always feel tired
2) If you are losing muscle size
3) If you have lost strength
4) If your muscles are always tender
5) If your appetite has decreased
6) If you have difficulty sleeping
7) If your workouts lack energy
8) If you lack motivation

Working out too much can actually do the opposite of your intentions, so be careful for that.

if you do, you'd be very tired right now and you probably were about to pass out from all the excess exercise.
if you didn't over exercise, you wouldn't see any results.
exercise is good for you but if you exert your body over its limit before its ready to, you may shut it down.
