Go to a place that you see nice young men lining up for haircuts. They have a bit more experience (about the business) than you or your young son would have, and they must also think that the barber's cuts rock (and usually at a good price too!)

Stop taking him to barbers and the cheap hair cut places and take him to a salon. I have a 9 year old son and he has in style haircuts they cost more but worth it.

Gay guys know how to cut it good.
Taking him to a woman hairdresser is good too.
But id rather get it done by a straight barber which I do. Go to the right type of places though. No old fat man barbers. Get some young guys who actually do their own hair good, then they know how to do it.

Haircut? Isn't Aang's head totally shaved? If you want to make a mohawk in the shape of an arrow, that'll still look off. Aang's arrow ends between his eyebrows.

take him to a salon....a nice salon...i know it sounds silly but if you take him to a nicer salon usually the only people there that do kids haircuts are the newer staff and they are almost always SUPERVISED....our new talent staff does kids cut for like 20 bucks...(not bad considering our haircuts start at 70) and they always do a great job...just because they are new doesn't mean they aren't good....our new talent goes through a really strict apprenticeship before they are even allowed on the floor.

Go to your local barbershop- & tell the barber that you want your son's haircut to look like Harrison Ford's. He'll know EXACTLY what to do! :)

Cut it yourself, that is what I do. ;-) Atleast you can get a pair of clippers, and shave it the longest setting that you have, and he will look like a boy. Cutting his hair with bangs that go straight across will bring him issues in the future, if it hasn't already!!!

You can try taking him to a salon or you can DIY. Here are some links w/ instructions:

If you want to try a professional again, then:
1) ask friends & family for recommendations.
2) find a photo of what you want & bring it w/ you.
3) explain the trouble you've had before & ask for the stylist's iinput.
