I can't wait until the Antichrist arrives and causes the Abrahamic religions to crumble. It will be a good day.

The antichrist is not from the western nations. He will arise from the European nations. The reason he will gain power is because he will have a seeming answer to every problem. That will be his ace in the hole...for three and one half years there will be peace on earth, he will manipulate everyone and everything and the entire population of the earth will be taken in by his "signs and wonders", and his ability to broker a peace where no one was able to before.
That is why the church has to be off the planet, i.e., the rapture, before this man can come to power. The holy spirit that dwells within Christians is what the bible terms the "hindering force" holding back his rise. One the church is taken out of the world, that force will be almost completely eliminated.

There are signs pointing the way for the end of the world and the advent of the Anti-Christ. Some of them are wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, false Christs, a ten nation confederacy forming in Europe which will be the seat of the Anti-Christ's power, increased ungodliness so that
the world will be ready to accept the beast as God, the rising demand for legitamizing homosexuality, increased activity in the realm of spiritual darkness, a one world church, and etc.
The ten nation confederacy has already formed in Europe and Greece was the last link in the formation of that group.
Read the prophesies given by Jesus Christ in the gospels, and then check out II Timothy 3:1-7 for starters. The list of items given in each of these scriptures show some fulfilled and some to yet be fulfilled.
There is no timetable, but one of the key signs will be when the Anti-Christ sets himself up in the temple at Jerusalem and
proclaims himself to be God. 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation will have passed before that event according to some scholars.
Anyway - it isn't a matter of great consequence to Christians because the Lord is with us all the time and we have nothing to fear concerning the Anti-Christ. Those who reject the word of God and are living during the time of the Anti-Christ will be given false hope and false peace and then suddenly he will show himself as he really is and people will tremble in his presence. He will have a prophet that will be able to call fire down from the sky and do other miracles which will convince those who are blinded by Satan who lives inside this man to take the mark and fall down and worship the beast. Everyone
will be religious then - there will be no atheists! He will not permit it. You will either worship him or die.

Valter,
Maybe you are misunderstanding what the Bible states.... If we go strictly by the Bible (forget about all the movies), do you recall when Jesus was tempted for 40 days and nights by satan (Luke 4)? We read in Luke 4:5-7, "And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine."
Satan is called the god of this world because when he got Adam and Eve to sin against God, satan then became the head or ruler of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). So, in reality satan has been ruling this world for centuries.
Now we come to the antichrist.... If you look at 1 John 4:3, you will see that antichrist has been around since this Scripture was written (95 AD). No man could live for 2000 years, so the "antichrist" must be satan himself. The only place satan could not rule in th world was in the churches--Christ said that whereever 2 r more were gathered in His name, He would be there. Christ indwells the true believers (those who are saved). They are also called God's elect or saints or His sheep.
Perhaps, the antichrist (satan) will somehow begin to rule in the churches. If this were to happen, God would have departed from the churches already. If you read 2 Thessalonians 2, I believe you'll find the answer.

First, the antichrist will be one that is taken in and embraced by the world. It is "not until" the world embraces him, that he sets up his political and religious control. For the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation Period.
It's kind of. like our elected officals of today. They say one thing to get elected. The people embraces them. And does completely the opposisite when elecated.
With the antichrist, being the manifestation of Satan in the Flesh. Like our elected officals, this is an easy task for him.

Although I am not claiming that the story of how the antichrist will appear on the scene is factual or otherwise, you are apparently not familiar with the story. The anti-christ does not show himself for what he truly is until about mid-way in his reign over the earth. According to many...about three and a half years into the tribulation. It is said that he will have power "before" he shows his real agenda...which is to get people to believe that He is God.

The bible tells us that an afternoon with the the Lord, equals 1000 years. it incredibly is been over 2,000 yrs now, so i could say we are going into that third day. "yet do no longer neglect approximately this one reality, cherished, that with the Lord sooner or later is as 1000 years, and 1000 years as sooner or later. The Lord isn't sluggish approximately his promise as some count quantity slowness, yet is forbearing in direction of you, no longer wishing that any could desire to perish, yet that each and each it is easy to desire to attain repentance. however the day of the Lord will come like a thief, after which the heavens will bypass away with a noisy noise, and the climate would be dissolved with hearth, and the earth and the works that are upon it is going to likely be burned up."

I don't think it would be all that difficult for the AntiChrist to deceive the nations. I mean he could claim to be the second-coming of Christ, which would satisfy the Muslim (who, by the way believe in the second coming), and the nominal Christians, which perhaps make up the majority of the Christian community.

The "anti-christ" will be as a wolf in sheep's clothing....he will mimic everything Jesus has done, talk lovingly and sensibly without raising his voice and have people believing he speaks "Truth" simply by being stagey enough to answer in a way that we can't dispute him except have a "feeling" something isn't quite right, but, so glad it wasn't the other guy that we will vote him in!
Also....remember, if a person wants to be in office bad enough, they can "adopt" a county, city, or state like Mrs. Clinton did, or, "adopt" a religion to do the same thing.
So, ask again how that can happen? very easily, my friend, very VERY easily.....so easily, that even the "saved" will have the danger of being fooled, and, persecuted by those whom hear us object....
God bless! :)

The bible makes it clear that there are MANY antichrists:
1Jo 2:18 ¶ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

The death of the antichrist causes the world to be launched into chaos....he is dead already....it was Sadam Hussein...and he is the one who threw the world into war...of which I might add...we have not won ...after 5 years or more...
Hmmm how is it that a nation of 300 million people cannot defeat a nation of what...27 million people....hmm interesting.
