Sounds like the Uncle should be put to sleep. My heart aches for both dogs. Not a very responsible pet owner to allow the puppy to be around the large dog. Dogs act on instinct. Sounds like the Uncle has the problem and should be reported for abuse to your local animal shelter ASAP for the safety of all animals.

It depends on the situation of why the dog bit the smaller dog. I would say in general, unless it kept attacking then you do not need to put the bigger dog down. However, I would call local animal control and ask- i know they will have an answer for you!

No dog desrves to die because of stupid owners

I have 4 dogs with high preydrives ranging from 15 lbs to 84lbs it mean I need to be careful with them around other smaller animals especially ones they don't know and when adding a smaller dog to my crew I had to be very careful during the first few months to ensure the small dog is not hurt, If something did happen that the fault is mine not the dogs

What?

What dog is being thrown? This question confuses me...

If your friend's uncle is throwing a dog, perhaps he should be the one getting in trouble. Dogs become aggressive when they are treated as such. No one should be throwing a dog around.

the 1st and customary factor your chum might desire to do is tell the uncle that he would be pronounced to the SPCA for cruelty to animals. What he has finished is against the regulation and he might desire to be charged. there is not any excuse for abusing an animal. this variety of abusive behaviour makes me ill. If she does not report him possibly you may desire to. How do you understand the "puppy isn't in undesirable undertaking"? even however there are actually not any obtrusive injuries there may well be physiological ones. Your chum might desire to additionally cost the guy who owns the dogs that bit your individuals. i won't be able to understand how human beings can permit others wreck out with stuff like this...actual insupportable behaviour. i do no longer think of the dogs might desire to be positioned down or killed, i think of the uncle might desire to be.

No, but it should be kept away from the dog that bit it. It sounds like you should keep that uncle of hers away from it too. He could get arrested for animal crulety if you pressed charges!

HOT NEWS FLASH dogs are PREDATORS. If every dog who would under any circumstance attack another dog was destroyed there would be no dogs left (probably not even your pup!)

The owners and all humans in involved should be euthanized. You included. TAKE RESPONSIBLITY FOR YOUR PETS!

dogs do these things, its up to the owners to train, and WATCH them.
