Check out Canon cameras. I have had 3 and they all have been excellent performers. They also make good printers that can print pictures right from the camera. Check out reviews and info at www.dpreview.com and www.imaging-resource.com

I just got my Kodak Z710. L love it! The cost depending on where you shop is about 200 to 240. If you catch a good sale you can it cheaper. It is a 7.1 megapixel and has a 10x zoom range. Telephoto capacity as well. It is easy to use and I have taken proffesional looking photos with it. To get a good digital camera you have to spend a little more. Otherwise you get something cheap and it will not last or give you the pictures you want to achieve.

Canon and Kodak both make high quality lower/mid-range digital cameras that have enough features to help you take a wide variety of photos but not so many that you’ll be overwhelmed. Also, both companies provide very helpful manuals and websites that give you lots of easy to understand “how to” tips.

I'd suggest you visit the website of "epinions.com". They have multiple reviesws on digital cameras, etc, and done by actual buyers rather than by some camera company. Click on the below link to get there. Hope this helps.

Casio Z75 is a great choice, nice and thin, lightweight, shoots photos and video with sound. Easy to use controls and a 2.5" screen to view.
