Why are men so immature? They always show off when girls are around and they think they are so amazing...can anyone explain their mindset to me? maybe a guy who knows what hes talking about...

I don't find them immature; rather they embrace the things that matter instead of worrying about all the bullshit.
It seems that so many of my female friends equate maturity with a picket fence, kids and staying home with a movie on a Friday night. My male friends tend to equate it with taking care of what needs to be taken care of (e.g. bills, family...) When my female friends are bitching that men leave their clothes on the floor, my male friends are searching through that pile of clothes for the right jeans so we can go paint the town red.
Fact is, I'd rather hang with the guys any day. Much better priorities. Or maybe it's just that I'm immature myself...

Most men don't think they're amazing . . . the ones that show off do it to get attention. Also, don't generalize so much. Most of the girls I know are very immature and do quite a bit of showing off themselves. Another thing you should know, lots of guys have self-esteem issues. I did when I was growing up, and I'd say probably half of the guys who ask questions around here do also. So I'd say that on the whole we don't think we're "so amazing". So don't delay, encourage a guy today! LOL Good night!

Those aren't men. Those are boys.
If you want to find a good guy look for the quiet ones, the nerdy or geeky ones. Look for the ones who read for pleasure, and not just a magazine. No, they aren't the stunning lookers in their youth, but most age incredibly well. These are usually the young guys who will be good men when they are adults. They are good fathers, and usually good providers. They are the ones who will usually worship their woman as a goddess. Treat them with one ounce of respect and decency and your investment will be returned 10 fold.
I speak from TOTAL experience. My husband was a nerd. Quiet, awkward, no social graces. Late bloomer is an apt phrase. By his junior year of college, he was beginning to turn some heads. The girls were becoming women and looking for potential life mates. Those gregarious boys weren't cutting it for them anymore. I snatched my man up early. I saw his potential, and was willing to put the time and effort in to mold him into the MAN I knew he could become.
My husband is the best investment I've ever made.

I can honestly say that i am not immature in any way. I am a 24 year old single father and I cant act that way cause i have someone else to think of. So not all men are immature.

Not all men are immature. But to those that are, I think it's hormonal, they want to to impress you, so invent stuff they think will. Thinking that you aren't good enough for someone will make even you do that, not only men, but a lot of girls do it too. Girls just have more control on it then men.

Because a lot of guys have to show their Alpha Maleness to impress the ladies unfortunately some guys make jerks out of themselves. Also a lot of guys act cocky or arrogant and they have some success at getting ladies. Most men fear the friend zone and it seems to be what happens to guys who are very nice and respectful. So their is a method to a man's madness

There's a big difference between men and boys. You haven't been exposed to actual men yet. Your guys may be over the age of 18, but in today's gilded age no one needs to grow up anymore. They're just not mature yet. They'll get there. Eventually.

Hmm, tough question, however, i would say that since MEN are genetically superior to women... (jk jk)
i think that they only show off if they like someone near who they are showing off to. or they have mental problems.
Or, hes with a bunch of his friends, and thinks hes all cool and stuff, and why not show off, probably high or what not.
Or they have been working out or something and want to show off thier muscles. Depends what you mean by "showing off"
Please give an example of what you mean by "showing off"

i can say that 90% of the men today have jus a few things on their mind which, Money, Sex, Girls and a few others, they dont see a girl for who she is or dont care about personality (not say all men are alike) but all they see is @$$ and tittys
