Is it just negative hyperbole,or what breed is this? I have a jewish neighbor with a golden retreiver but she says she doesn't consider her dog a jewish dog, even though she's jewish and it's her dog. So what's a jewish dog anyway? Serious replies only!

Well,it you want to,you could develop your own breed which would give you the right to name the breed. If you pick "Jewish" then the breed would in fact be a jewish dog. I expect it would be a huge seller in the Arab world,,jewish organizations would be appalled, and individual jews would get the heebie-jeebies walking around parks and overhearing little kids with their pet saying things like "He's a jewish dog". I expect the whole issue would be a money-maker and great copy for tv newsmagazines. This is a job for Mike Wallace! What should America think of jewish dogs? Tonight,a special report...

There are a number of dogs breeds native to Israel. Those are probably the dogs they are talking about. I can't imagine a Muslim making a derogatory statement about Jews because Islam is a religion of love....

Psst: Just kidding. It's an insult. In the Middle East, dogs are considered lowly animals because they eat scraps off the floor, pee on each other, and lick their own bung holes.

In Islam, dogs are usually considered to be unclean.

I assume that the word "dog", when used in this context by radical Muslins, is a derogatory term meant to imply that all Jews are sub-human animals (Like when a radical feminist calls all men "pigs" -- she is not talking about real pigs, she is just trying to insult all men.).

I actually thought that this was a joke, until I read the last line. Real dogs cannot be Jewish (or Christian, or Muslin, or Buddhist, etc.), dear.

You really cannot imagine a Muslim making that kind of statement against a Jew? Muslims don't even recognize Israel and we all know the statements the Iranian president made about blowing them off the map.

I'm thinking it's a metaphor...

Though there are pariah dogs, a large grouping of dogs that some dog breeds are descended from.

I mean, like, there's pariah dogs, wolf-type, Spitz type...it's a rough distinction.

In the world of mental evolution, you’re the blue-green algae that everyone else eats and laughs at. I feel very sorry for your husband.

Jews, by many Muslims, are infidels and are to be killed. In your reference, not sure.
