You are postpartum and you seriously need to get help. This is far bigger than seeking help in an answer room you need to call a therapist right now!!!

Don't feel like the lone ranger on this one. You may be suffering from post par-tum depression. You need to get in to see your Medical Physician and perhaps a psychiatrist that can prescribe you some medication that will get you through this rough patch. Don't let your mother Poo-poo your feelings, this is a real issue you're having. Also, get Brooke Shields book "Down Came the Rain: My journey through post par-tum depression"
You don't have to live like this. Get help for yourself and your family.
I hope this helps.

I have a mini nervous breakdown at least once a week. Last week, my son screamed for 3 hours non-stop... eventually, I put him down, walked out of the room and banged my head three times against the door. My husband, who was blissfully unaware and sleeping through the whole thing, jumped up and asked who's shooting... that particular little nugget got me over last week's break down. I try to find little things to cheer me up, and keep remembering that my precious little baby loves me and trusts that I will keep him alive until he's old enough to keep himself alive (and hopefully, one day, his infirm mommy, who gave up plenty of sleep to look after him). Besides, every time he looks up at me and gives me that big ol' smile, I feel better.

I know most people will say post par-tum and that is a strong possibility. You should call your regular physician immediately and get a blood work up. He or she might also be able to give you some type of med in the meantime.

I do have another suggestion that you might want to get checked out. My sister had her fourth child. She was told it was post par-tum, or, just assumed. I don't remember the logistics of it. She steadily got worse and worse until she was almost not able to move at all. She thought she was crazy. She finally went to a doctor that checked EVERYTHING out and found out that she had a very bad thyroid condition. Once on Med's she was CURED!!!

Please, Please, Please....get yourself checked immediatly. Things might get worse and you don't want that to happen!!!

Good luck and please keep us informed...

Have you ever heard of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)? You can learn it in 30 minutes then do it in 2 minutes.

I was having a literal mental illness related breakdown, used EFT, and got immediate relief.

Depression, you need a day or night out alone. Breath deep don't let things get to you so easily. Care for your child first then the house and other things.

You need to go to the doctor right now. Any doctor. If you cannot see one today, beg for one in the morning, tell the triage nurse what is happening. Get on it girl!

It sounds like post partum depression to me. I suggest that you see your doctor - regular not ob - and ask them if there is anything that they can help you with. If you are breast feeding they most likely will not let you take medication, but it doesn't hurt to check. Good luck!
