I love to collect and study all the different versions of Bible. So many different versions, I like to see what is changed from year to year, and eagerly anticipate the new PC German version of the Bible due out soon. Judaism is another religion I find myself reading alot about.

I would challenge you to go to Saudi Arabia and find this statement to be true. They censor the Bible there and will not allow any missionaries in their country. Same went for Taliban in Aghganistan. Just because you meet a few "Well read" muslims in the US or Europe doesn't mean that is the norm for the Muslim community on the whole.
I must also doubt your exposure to Christians is wide. I know am Christian and know plenty about the Muslims and Hindus, and I know plenty of others like me.

Because Satan is the author of confusion, and he likes it when people study many different religions and then get confused. A Christian will stick to the Bible and have nothing to do with polluting forces.

the muslims are descendents of jews and christians, so they accept the previous books as legitimate books and a part of thier religion. Jews and xtians don't accept new age religions that go too far from thier own.
as for the vedas, india is right next door to central asia so there may be some nieghborly interest or cross cultural pollination.

We might be tempted to stray from Christ our savior. Scripture says that we are to flee from evil. Eventually, learning about something could strike up an interest and next thing you know we're worshiping someone other than Christ Himself. It's okay to cancel out falsehoods but some might be persuaded to worship a false god.
I once had a Muslim friend named Ali. He was going to bring me in a copy of the Torah. He told me I had to wash up and all as a way of being cleaned before reading it. I quoted to him words straight from the Holy Bible....Galatians: But if we or an angel from heaven preach to you any other gospel than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. Ali stumbled with that and NEVER brought the copy in to me. Why do you think that was so? The Lords Word is powerful. He is the Almighty. P.S. I quoted the same verse to my aunt and uncle who are Jehovah's Witnesses...haven't seen them in a while either.

More Muslims should read The Holy Bible since they believe it came from God. You cannot be a Christian and believe the quran, but I have read it just to be aware and to beware.
God Bless.

The Muslims you speak of are open minded. It is also wisdom to know your enemy or opposition. I'm not calling anyone enemies just stating a fact. Trying to cover all. More Christians could take a lesson from your Muslim friends. I know I am. You learn and glean wisdom from all religions. We should study them all. You never know, you just might learn something.

I agree. It is always better to be open minded. Hey i learned Islam, Judaism and studied the Egyptians & Sumerian cultures, still managed to link all of it to extraterrestrials and i was born a Catholic.
U can see where i've found my identity.
