I unfortunetly downloaded a virus from a link my "friend" gave me. Will a stystem restore remove it?

Possibly, though unlikely. You are better off installing an antivirus program and scan your computer. There are plenty of free antivirus programs so there is no need to go out and buy one. The 3 most popular free antivirus programs are: Antivir, Avast and AVG. All 3 programs are completely free and very effective. You can find all 3 at (http://www.filehippo.com/software/antivirus/). After installing the programs, update them and run a scan. Be sure to quarantine any suspicious files.

no in order to wipe a virus from a hard drive(if not removeable by an anti virus) youd have to Reformat the hard drive. but before doing so id look up info on How to do this properly or else youll have a dead drive. Good luck

I got a trojan and i did a system restore and everything works perfect again. Make sure you do the restore right
