That's Augustinian Theology. I don't think he got it right. What is condemned due to original sin is simply the flesh, not the soul. God does not hold people account for things they have no control over. God does not reckon people guilty of Adam's sin.

"Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin." Deuteronomy 24:16

Original sin is not seen so much as a act; rather it is seen as an inherited trait.

It appears that once Adam & Eve sinned, they somehow corrupted either their spirit, or ther DNA, so that all of their decendents were born selfish with a predisposition toward evil.

The idea of original sin is that we are born with a spiritual birth defect that needs to be corrected.

Since we did not cause our own defect, then God gives us the opportunity to be redeemed, unlike Satan and the fallen angels who get no such chance at redemption.

You're not held accountable for their sin, but for your own. The fact that Adam sinned resulted in him being altered genetically, and you inherited his genetic makeup, which includes the coding for cellular apoptosis and eventual death. Since the punishment for sin is death, and since it is unfair to punish you for Adam's sin, the death you suffer is not your punishment. This is the reason for the resurrection and judgment; if you are found guilty at the judgment, and you will be without Christ, then you will pay for your own sins with a payment called, appropriately enough, the second death. Whether or not this means eternity in hell or not, this is where payment occurs.

Hope this helps!

God holds us responsible for what we all know. We are born with a sinful nature, separated from God. Once we all know approximately God, and what's sin, we're held responsible for that competencies. Why could you opt for to be an angel? Paul wrote that we're larger than the angels, in that we have got the possibility to be published from our sinful nature and be reborn into the likeness and photograph of Christ. Also, he wrote that we will be able to command angels. And that the angels appear upon guy and sweetness at us. So, that's larger, angel or guy? I opt for guy.

We are not punished for Adam and Eve's sin, however we did inherit their sin nature, that's why we must be born again. If you are not born again, you are accountable for your sins. If you are born again by accepting Jesus as your savior, He becomes your sin bearer and you receive forgiveness. Great trade off!

Imagine that your parents went in a spaceship to a distant planet, there survival was possible but due to the hardships there life expectancy was no longer than 25 years.

If their spaceship broke when they first arrived, where would their children all be born? Would that be God's fault?

Thus the fact that we are born defective is not God's fault, but Adams!

God, however, gave his children hope. Those that exercise faith -- he promises -- will get eternal life in paradise. It's worth the wait -- AND it is cheap, all you need is to exercise faith.

Adam and Eve plunged all of us into sin. We are born with a sin nature. We all sin and we all need a Savior. God provided one in Jesus.

Each person is responisbile only for their own sins.

It is a catholic lie..

We are born into sin..

There are three kinds of sin in the bible..

1. The sins of this world, which are forgiven.

2. Sins that will be judged by Jesus and God.

Sin is inherited yes but if they had not sinned it would have been you and me. We are not punished for their sin, we are punished for our own- but we don't have to be punished and condemned as we so deserve to be. We can be forgiven through the blood of Jesus, and He remembers our sins no more. I am responsible for me, and you are responsible for you.

Jesus alread pay that debt when he shed his blood on the cross to save humanity from sin. Therefore you are not accountable of orginal sin but only your own. If you believe in CHrist and lieve according to his teachings you will be saved because your soul is eternal. If not you can't escape the damnation of hell. SALVATION IS FREE.
