Everyone is nervous as a first time parent, or at least they should be! This is the biggest responsibility of your life, bringing a new life into the world and being responsible for this child for the next eighteen to twenty years.
It helps to educate yourself about pregnancy, childbirth and childcare. You can get information form the doctor, the hospital, magazines, books and online. The more you know, the more comfortable you will be when you become a parent.

I was very nervous, but taking one day at a time got me through it.
I think that I was scared just becasue I had never been a mom before and didn't have a clue what I was doing, I was scared of the unexpected. It wasn't long until the 'unexpected' became the 'predicatable' though...
it was wonderful, but scary at the same time for me :)

No not at all, some people dream of being a doctor some dream of being a laywer, i dreamed of being a mom. So even though i was young (18) i knew we would be fine. I live to be my kids mom. I feel my greater purpose in life is to raise them so they can do great things. And as long as they grow up happy and healthy, that is all that matters to me.

I do not have any children yet, but I am scared now just thinking about it. You have this person who you are responsible to protect, teach, etc. How this person turns out is primarily on you. Very scary for me. What if I screw up?!
